slow progress....

well, the house is still in chaos and the decorating is continuing, but we're very nearly there so i thought i'd share a few piccies before and during the transformation (the after are hopefully soon to follow!)

The room started off a yucky blue colour, that made a very small room seem rather like a prison cell

so 4 coats of paint later and Darren exclaims "i know what this colour is - you've made me paint the room in kraft", lol, just goes to show how universally accepted SU colour names are!

So the coving is up, the walls painted and the woodwork is nearly done. Time for a few touch-us then we can hopefully get the new carpet laid and my new wlanut expedit furniture from IKEA installed.

So, anything crafty I hear you ask? Well last sunday was team training with my lovely upline Monica and her glamorous assisstant Bekka in Peterborough. There was lots of nattering, cups of tea and some crafting, here's one of the swaps that i made (i'd post piccies of the projects, but I was too busy chatting to finish all of the them!!).

Recipe: I {heart} hearts stamps; heart to heart punch; real red and white craft ink; kraft, real red, whisper white and basic black cardstock; day and night DSP, ribbon from stash.  Platinum shimmer paint in alcohol suspension misted over whole card.

And finally (if any of you are still here and haven't drifted off yet!) i've scheduled the first of my monthly classes for Saturday 22nd May from 1-4pm. We'll be making a set of 3 C6 cards with a matching box using the vintage vogue stamp set  - piccies to follow. If you'd like to come along, feel free to email me. The class costs £10 and includes all materials and refreshments.

Hopefully some swap piccies to share next week (if I can find my camera under the pile of dust sheets and paint pots.

Until then have a fab remainder of the bank holiday weekend!
